Robotics battle tournament and Hackathon at Riihimäki, April 12th-13th 2025

The event is organized by Robosota Ry in collaboration with DEFINE, the City of Riihimäki, and The Union of Professional Engineers.

Prepare for an action-packed weekend with combat robots in Riihimäki! For the first time ever, the Finnish battle robotics association Robosota Ry is teaming up with Riihimäki, Finland’s “capital of robotics education,” and Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK). The Robosota tournament is open to everyone. In addition to the regular battle robotics tournament, we are hosting a Hackathon in cooperation with the city and university. The Hackathon is designed for middle school students from Riihimäki and students from HAMK—and we’ve made it truly exciting!

Due to the Hackathon, the event will span two days, with the Robosota tournament taking place on Sunday instead of the usual Saturday.

How to get there

DEFINE Innovation Hub is located next to the Riihimäki railway station (200 m), so we kindly recommend to arrive by train. There are only a few parking spaces available in the yard of the event venue (Veturitallit parking lot) and more free of charge parking space in the Peltosaari parking area. From the Peltosaari parking lot, there is an underpass to railway station, Veturitallit and DEFINE hub (5 min walk).
